Description
Comprehensive Male Profile I
An integrated male health panel that evaluates key hormones and related health markers via two specimen types.
What does this test measure?
Saliva samples measure a man’s bioactive hormone levels:
- Testosterone
- Estradiol
- DHEA-S
- Diurnal cortisol (four times)
The blood spot portion checks:
- Thyroid function (TSH, free T3, free T4)
- Thyroid antibodies for autoimmune thyroiditis
- PSA (prostate-specific antigen) for prostate health screening
Who is this test most suitable for?
- Middle-aged or older men’s health screening
- Men under chronic stress (effect on hormones)
- Men on testosterone therapy (monitoring)
- Men with family history of thyroid disease or prostate cancer
Clinical Use
This combination is aimed at men experiencing symptoms of hormone imbalance (fatigue, low libido, weight or mood changes) to determine if low testosterone, adrenal stress, or thyroid issues are contributing. It’s also a general mid-life male screen for androgen decline (andropause) and early detection of thyroid or prostate abnormalities.
